 Maldevta | why Maldevta is famous ?

Maldevta in one of the untouched picnic spot in Dehradun. Surrounded by the magnificent beauty of foothills and song river  steam through between the mountains with gurgling noise and clean water but in rainy season this river might show its worse face as last year great disaster happened and ruined the whole area. Many restaurants and houses of natives was the victim of flood and got collapsed in the high flow of water due to Cloudburst in Maldevta. This scenario is not usual in Maldevta but still things got worse in some cases. 

People from different places in India mighty feel close to the nature and satisfying while visiting here. Maldevta is located in Raipur Dehradun and surrounded with dense forest which is usually teemed with youngsters and family groups enjoying picnic with magnificent beauty of Dehradun. one can enjoy the trek in woods and have bath in the stream and waterfalls other can visit the temples which are the main attraction of Maldevta. Most people prefer to visit early morning and in evening because in some cases afternoon direct sunlight might ruin the adventure of the visit. The cool breeze in morning is so satisfying that nothing can beat that feeling. If talk about the best month round the year, perfect suggestion would be visit the place anytime except the monsoon season i.e july, august, and september. Due to heavy rainfall Maldevta has witnessed a lot of disaster in recent years. 

Maldevta Cloudburst  

Huge disaster happened in Maldevta last year. Song and Bandal both rivers were in there peak of disaster and filled all the nearby resorts in Maldevta and many bridges and trees were collapsed in the disaster. The huge disaster cause the death of 4 natives and many animals. The time was really hard for the natives they lost there wealth and assets. 

Still the area is trying to recover from last disaster and trying to come on track again. for few days all the connections of villagers was cut from the main city and they were helpless for few days. government also helped them in many ways and tried to cooperate with it's all efforts. 

Author's Opinion

Though the place have faced a lot of natural disaster in recent days Maldevta is totally safe in other months of the year except monsoon. In rainy season the level of river cross the safety line but except monsoon no one can say that such disaster could happen in such place. 

The destination is perfect for all age group picnic and for all those who want to stay close to the nature. the mesmerizing beauty of the Maldevta attracts tourists and force them to visit the haven again and again.
